Description
KVM switch FJ-2UK/4UK is used to switch workstation devices (monitor, keyboard, mouse, peripheral device) between two computers.
To use KVM switch FJ-2UK/4UK, you need to connect it with a VGA – VGA cable to the monitor and connect the input device (keyboard, mouse) to the “USB CONSOLE” connectors. Various peripheral devices, such as a printer, can be connected to the third USB type A connector of the switch.
In this way, we have created a workstation.
Then you need to connect the KVM switch to the controlled computers. The VGA connectors of the switch need to be connected to the video cards of the controlled computers, the USB type B “female” connectors of the switch should be connected to the USB type A connectors of the controlled computers.
The switch is connected to the computer using a special cable for KVM switch VGA + USB. Cables are not included in the delivery set and are purchased separately.
The switch is controlled using a button located on the case. If two computers are connected to the switch, pressing the button switches from one computer to another.
There are two LEDs near the button, labeled PC1 and PC2. The lit LED indicates which computer we are working with.
The FJ-2UK/4UK KVM switch has 8 connectors:
- standard 15-pin VGA female connector for connecting a monitor;
- 2 standard 15-pin VGA female connectors for connecting video cards of controlled computers;
- 3 USB type A female connectors for connecting keyboard, mouse and peripheral device;
- 2 USB type B female connectors for connection to controlled computers.
The FJ-2UK/4UK switch does not have an input for an external power supply, so the switch must be connected to the USB port of one of the turned-on computers.
